I recommend 1-2 times per week. Abviously if you workout like a maniac everyday you may have to bump up the frequency to meet your sweaty scalp's needs ;)
However! Don't be fooled...
Shampooing too often can cause a not so pampered pattern of your scalp over compensating by over producing oil; which will have you thinking that you have an oily scalp. When in actuality, by shampooing all to frequently you're drying your scalp out, which is why its presenting as oily.
If you find yourself in this vicious cycle; the only way out is to break it... Which means dealing with the oil cap you call your scalp for a few extra days during the week.
Thankfully there are products for exactly this predicament - dry shampoo, or the super budget friendly option Talcum powder.
Give your crown a few week to acclimate to the new routine. Rome wasn't built in a day and your scalp isn't going to stop over producing oil that quickly either.
